Charming and fully operational Stube balance scale! (early 1900's??)This item is clean and in good working order; measures to within 1/2 oz of my digital postal scale. Can be used to weigh packages, or as a kitchen scale. Simply balance the scale first by moving the metal cylinder on right side of beam into the position where counter balance arms (far right side of scale) remain level with one another. Then place object in pan and move weight bar to the right until the balance arms become level again. Weighs up to 22 pounds. (Helpful tip: there are free phone apps which calculate the conversion from gm to oz, etc. 😊 )M easures about 12-1/2 x 8"
