Measuring 92.5cm long by 50.5cm wide and 74cm high is this charming compact sized oak single pedestal office desk with 5 drawers. The desk has a plywood top with nice figured oak veneer and solid oak rounded edge moulding. The sides and rear of the pedestal are oak veneer on plywood. The pedestal has 4 drawers, each drawer has a solid oak front with original geometric handle and internal pine linings with plywood base boards and machined dovetails. The top drawer has a raised brass escutcheon with internal brass lock but no key. There is a further wide drawer, again with solid oak front, brass escutcheon and internal brass lock but no key. The left side legs are solid oak and plain and squared united by a simple oak stretcher. The base of the pedestal is a simple plinth type. The desk has been used, there are marks, scuffs, scratches, stains and discolouration to the top, some marks and white paint spots to the pedestal with some veneer chips in places, wear to the stretcher and left side legs and the drawer stops have worn a little meaning not all drawers stop flush to the carcass. The desk has some varnish wear to the front but retains a nice colour and style. Structurally sound with no worm or weak joints.
