This is a very old item. I found it with some other items in the garage after my husband died. I believe it is a chastity belt. It is crudely made of metal with a criss-cross pattern on the outside. In the top t are two defferent cut-outs and one diamond shaped cut-out opposite the lock. T are two hinges on the top. The round circular area is adjustable to size. The lock with key is also very old. T is a brass piece that turns to cover the key hole. On this brass piece t are stamps: (Maybe a C, REVET, below N3794526, then a large VF with cross ? below that. The waist size, fully extended is 25-1/2 inches. The item weighs 3/4 pound. It has light rust with a very few spots of deeper rust. I had this item listed as a head restraint but two prospective bidders clued me in and told me what it is. It shows my ignorance but I have never worn one so what do I know. Maybe someone could tell me how old this one might be? |
