We are currently assembling a great selection of interesting items from a couple of local estates. They will be listed in the next couple of months so please keep an eye on our items. We will describe everything as accurately as possible, but we believe that a clear series of photos is worth more than a thousand words. Should you require any additional information or pictures , it will be happily provided. It is always our preference to leave any cleaning , repairs etc to the future owner. This is a great vintage sewing kit that includes a five-chain chatelaine, red velvet box , six tools for lace work and needle boxes. It is unmarked , but appears to be silverplate over copper and as the copper is apparent in the higher areas of relief on the main part of the clasp. It is highly decorated with the face of the Northwind flanked by cherubs or angels. The clasp section is 3" by 3.5" with the overall length being just about 12". The ends of the chain have a tape measure (tape is either inside or no longer t, sheath(probably for sciccors that are no longer with it) , pin cushion and what appears to be a small book,but it is filled with red velvet spacer instead of pages, and the final chain is empty. It appears the small object with the blue stone in it was attached to the last chain but it has a lighter hue to it, so it was probably read more
