ORIGINAL CHATHAM FIELD GEORGIA ARMY AIR CORPS NEWSPAPER EXTRA- VICTORY IN EUROPE SPECIAL EDITION MAY 7, 1945 U. S. bidders only, please. -- I will NOT ship this lot out of the United States. * * * Rare. Very limited original Extra edition of the Chatham Field Georgia "Liberator" newspaper for Army Air Corps servicemen stationed t May 7, 1945. Announcing (in largest headline type possible) the Victory in Europe: Two Down - One To Go! 4 pages, complete Extra edition. No faults other than slight aging. Folded horizontally at center, as issued. Still quite supple, easily handled, easily read. Not fragile in any way. One huge folded sheet to form four 11 x 15-1/2 inches newspaper pages. No tears, no creases. Found with WWII Air Corps vet newspapers stacked neatly in a military trunk. Would not fit on my scanner, sorry. Can only show portions, but I tried to get in all edges. All images are scans of the actual limited-run newspaper you are bidding on. Scans are blurry compared to actual printing. You won't be disappointed! The Liberator was a very small printing local Air Corps newspaper issued solely for military personnel on base. Likely no other copies exist in original condition as nice as this one. A lot of interesting articles read more
