This recipe box is stamped J. Chen on the bottom, U.S.A. Box came from an estate and the lady of the house was a party giver, and entertained her guests royally. Very heavy on the desserts! Also included are a batch of recipes from her mother. An envelope is the one that's very heavy on desserts. The box is metal and measures about 4 1/2 inches high by 6 1/2 long. A lot of the recipes have been placed in plastic sleeves for protection. A few years ago, it was very common to find recipes at estate sales, but not so any longer. The best recipes you will ever try are in these vintage boxes. Hope this one finds a good home.
