This listing is for a lovely plate by the Bradford Exchange entitled "Starburst" which is the Seventh Issue in the "Cherished Traditions" collection by Mary Ann Lasher. This limited edition, hand numbered 7-inch plate is in mint condition. The Bradford Exchange states "Quilts are more than just scraps of cotton and thread, they were a labor of love that evolved, generation after generation, into some of the most prized collectibles in America. The legacy of the quilt began out of need. Families needed warm blankets for sleeping. But as time passed, quilts became intricate artistic expressions of the heroic women who helped settle this country. Unlike the solitude of knitting or embroidery, piecing together a quilt also became a valuable social outlet for women... a time to enjoy the companionship of friends." Here we celebrate the colorful heritage of American quilts and marvel at the intricate details of the "Starburst" pattern.
