100% Genuine and simichrome tested at Hatton Garden in London some years ago 1920's - 1930's Art Deco Cherry Amber necklace which could even be Victorian in age,as this is a very old amber necklace,but i was told by the shape of the beads that it is Art Deco. The necklace is quite long and also has a good amount of weight weighing a healthy 127.6 grams as amber is quite light. I have all ready been offered a fair amount so it may get pulled before the end of the auction if it is'nt doing fair,but i would like to give everyone a chance on ebay first and i wont just pull it off willy nilly as i will give it right up to the last 12 hours. a necklace lighter than this example fetched £976 or their abouts on ebay just months ago. Item number 121149331878 or item number 121140426309 for an example of a couple that have just sold.This necklace is completely fixed with no catch to mess with at all and how it was originally made all those years ago,so will just slip over your head without any fuss.The drop is approximately 16 3/4 inches in length when measured layed out on a top. If it could be undone and layed out straight it would be approximately 32 inches or so in length. When worn on my neck from the back of my neck to the bottom of the necklace is approx 15" inches, so a fair length and a decent size necklace rather than a choker etc. read more
