Chester 1890 RARE Sterling Silver & Earthenware Matchstriker / Vesta ~ Victorian Search Here for sale we have a large victorian sterling silver and earthenware matchstriker, the piece is made by a good quality manufacturer saunders and sheperd (francis sheperd and cornelius desmoreaux saunders). Full hallmarks for Chester 1890, the piece is in fab condition, the silver has tiny marks from years of usage but the earthenware is in incredibly crisp condition, no chips cracks or signs of restoration, one of the best examples I have seen in a long time.Measures 8 cms tall and weighs 632 grammes.
