~ CHIC LONG VINTAGE BELGIUM FRENCH TAPESTRY LOUIS XIV ERA ~ PARIS FRANCE AT THE COURT IN VERSAILLES I acquired this wonderful tapestry at an estate sale several years ago with the intention of giving it a friend when she suddenly decided to give her apartment a makeover in a totally different decorating scheme! With it, came an old piece of paper with some information handwritten on it, otherwise, I wouldn't have known how to describe it! All I could make out was what I have in my title because, I think the rest was written in French as I recall! I have no idea how old this is, but I've had it at least 15 to 20 years now packed safely away in storage and forgotten all about it until I recently unpacked the box. It is free of odors or imperfections and quite lovely, fitting for your Paris Apartment chic d écor! It is stamped on the back Made in Belgium. This was difficult to photograph in one piece, but hopefully, you can see the details by my many photos. The colors are not quite as dark as my photos make it appear... but in much nicer softer tones. I imagine that in addition to a pretty wall hanging, this would make a fabulous backdrop for a headboard or long sofa.
