This Real Photo P ost Card (RPPC) is one of some thirty plus (30+), (from some 100 years back) , that we will be listing in the next couple of days. Many are by C. R. Childs, some are by other great Chicago Photographers, and some may be amateurs. If your inte rest is in Chicago Post Cards, you cannot affor d not to look at these cards. The title of this Post Card is: SHERIDAN RD. S. OF LELAND AV. This is a standard size approx: (3-1/2" x 5-1/2") , sepia Real Photo Post Card (RPPC), with a divided back. Publisher / Photographer : M-L Photo Co., 2837 Milwaukee Ave. , Chicago, IL. (also one of Chicago's great photographic chroniclers) Numbered '2 43 ' Year / Era : postmarked 19 12 Postmark Town & Type: Chicago, Ill, 'Canal Station', large bar cancel The View : looking south , at the we sterly side of Sheridan Ave., with many elegant 2 & 3 story buildings the second building in in is identified by the sender as the "Eastwood Hotel" All these buildings are gon e today replaced by high-rises and stores, wit h the exception of the one tall building far in the distance, which shows the church tower of what is today the "UPTOWN BAPTIST CHURCH".
