Old chiming weight driven wall clock with a 4 rod chime apparently not in its original state. The clock face has been repainted and there are some chased lead sheet embellishments which may or may not be original. The pendulum bob and weights have seen similar treatment although some of the lead embellishments appear to be missing from the weights. The clock escapement mechanism seems to function ok but the chiming mechanism has not been tested. Will need significant tlc if to be fully restored but component parts may be useful as spares. Other details as follows: The four vertical chiming bars are mounted in a cast iron bracket bearing a fir tree logo and the letters VH beneath it. Two of the four chime bars have come adrift from their fixing screws. The clock mechanism has a collared reindeer (?) logo and the number 6194 stamped beneath it. There is a short piece of string attached to a lever in the mechanism - not sure of its function. The pendulum rod is an unusual oval wooden strip with metal attachments each end. The two 3kg weights are cast iron with a thin metal decorative sheath. The total weight of the clock including the two 3kg weights is about 10kg. If sold it would be disassembled into its component parts (see photo) before shipping to avoid damage. Postage cost quoted includes the two 3kg weights. If these are read more
