Chinese hand-embroidered silk coverlet or shawl Chinese hand-embroidered silk coverlet or shawl, late 1800's. Made from creme or ivory crepe and bordered all around with a very deep hand-knotted silk fringe. The dazzling color of the vibrant flowers bring this beautiful silk piece of art to life and is is breathtaking. There are four large vibrant red roses with beautiful depth of color and shading. Vines of flowers and leaves are throughout the 50" x 50" embroidered panel. There are peach, yellow, blue, orange, red and pink flowers all beautifully shaded and all beautifully balanced with gorgeous green vines. Each quadrant of the panel repeats the same pattern. The variety, brilliance, and verisimilitude of the flowers testify to the peerless artistry of the designer. Not only is the embroidery magnificent- also the knotted work around it- and the deep fringe.This is a truly magnificent work of art. The condition is excellent with no tears or breaks. International Shipping We ship items international but please email us for rates before bidding because some items are very expensive to ship due to weight, size, and double boxing that might be required. We ship items to foreign countries thru USPS Priority Mail(Post Office), Fedex International and sometimes UPS international. We only ship to a verified PayPal listed address. We have to insure all packages for the final selling price so the buyer will be responsible for all taxes or duties entering their country. Sometimes packages that are shipped thru the post office can take longer then expected to get there, we are not responsible for this extra time at customs, so please be patient. Items shipped thru the post office can only be insured for up to $500, if you want more insurance it will have to be shipped thru FEDEX.
