This is Chinese deity scroll from what I'm told it is carbonated to over 200+ years what is written on the piece is a poem that tells of ancient Chinese gods and there saga , these immortal are of one family line and the depiction of each is in there most famed form . the silk is in excellent condition I'm told that the paper backing was placed on the silk in the 1860's to repair and strengthen this scroll. the scroll is in over all good condition and is museum quality. the Scroll is 12 feet 6 inches long and is 1 foot 5 inches tall 12.6' x 1.5'. it is a very rare style of scroll since most Chinese scrolls are vertical and not horizontal, this scroll wold have been found in a Temple or some other form of religious gathering place . serous bidders only !
