CHINESE EXPORT SILVER DRAGON TRAY; FIRE BREATHING DRAGON; WOSHING, c1875; EXCELLENT CONDITION This is an rare Chinese export silver dragon tray. Signed for Woshing. Classic raised oval form with bamboo rim. Wide shelf border with pairs of song birds amidst bamboo grove. Against stippled surface. The center with fire breathing dragon amidst thick rolling clouds. The dragon body partially visible as it is hidden by clouds. Bamboo handles and pierced bamboo leaf and stalk feet. Chinese silver dragon breathing fire tray is 9 1/2 inches across handles weighs 8 1/4 (standard) ounces. Hallmarked as shown. Excellent condition. Rich lusterous silver patina throughout. Beautifully carved dragon breathing fire and birds in bamboo retain their original detail. Mild wear. Massachusetts residents are subject to sales tax.
