Ink on silk, a vertical river landscape featuring small figures engaged in nature beneath the towering mountains above, a serene yet playful scene, signed in Chinese to upper left corner and dated spring of 1757 together with two red artists seals, but may be a Japanese copy of a Chinese painting, painting has been remounted on a beautiful brocade mounting with wooden knobs, comes together with tomobako inscribed on interior and exterior.SS 45.5 x 16.5 in.Overall very good condition; a few areas of loss to the silk.
