CHINTZ COBALT BLUE & WHITE EWER & BASIN - JUG & PITCHER SET DESCRIPTION: Chintz cobalt blue & white ewer & basin - or pitcher & bowl set, however you prefer to describe it. The mark on the bottom of the jug shows two lions and what looks like an oval-shaped bottle between them, and two leaves on the bottom. Mark says "Victopa" "Ironstone". The shape of the jug is really gorgeous and cobalt trim and handle set off the floral pattern beautifully. Really a gorgeous set. CONDITION: The bowl is in excellent condition. No chips or damage. The jug is also in excellent condition, but it looks a little worn w the liquid pours out. The glaze is still t but the color has a bit more blue to it. It is a small spot and is very faint but is noticeable if you look closely. Likewise, the base inside has more blue coloring than elsew No chips or damage. DIMENSIONS: The diameter of the bowl measures 1 mm short of 8" and is 2 ½" plus 2 mm tall. The jug is 7½" tall and 6" at its widest. The base measures 3½". Non-smoking home.
