Handmade Christmas Tree Ornament - Sold IndividuallySan Buenaventura California Mission ChurchSpaced along the California coast stand twenty-one mission churches. These simple yet massive structures of adobe and stone draw more travelers than most any other historical California attraction.This ornament design features the 9th Mission built and each detail is drawn from the artists original interpretations rendered in terra-cotta clay. It measures approximately 4 by 3 inches and has a hanging loop at the top. Each piece is glazed and kiln fired with the name of the Mission and Founding Date on the back side.The following information was compiled from The California Missions a Pictorial History, published in 1979.San Buenaventura is number nine, founded in 1782.
