This specimen of Chrysacolla was collected at the Allouez mine ,in Allouez, Keweena county ,Michigan ,back in the early to mid 60's.It is 5" x 3" x 3" and weights in at 1.12.6 Lbs.Vein Chrysacolla in matrix ( Allouez conglomerate),t are areas of a crystal system and what I know is(could be wrong,let me know if I am) ,Chrysacolla was like Opal,it formed from a gel,some rounded masses or mounds.Kind of a rare specimen from this location .This is part of the mineral collection of the late Professor Donald L.
