Chrysocolla and Cuprite Tumblestone Chrysocolla is a hydrous copper silicate with a hardness of 2.5 to 3.5. First named Chrysocolla in 315 B.C. The name comes from the Greek, 'chrysos' meaning 'gold' and 'kolla' meaning 'glue' as it resembled the material used to solder gold. Within this tumblestone there is another copper mineral, Cuprite (the brown/black sections). Measures approx. 3.0 cms. Chrysocolla is a water element stone and is said to be an aid to learning. It is also said to enhance one's connection with the Earth's consciousness. Check out my other items ! Be sure to add me to your favourites list !
