This is the original 2009 Cinema Retro Magazine "Special Edition Movie Classics -- Where Eagles Dare" It has the much more colorful black/orange/red color mag cover, not the plain white of the recently re-issued version. From the front cover "Special 80 pages Souvenir Issue on the making of 'Where Eagles Dare" This is NOT the recent 2012 new special edition. 8 1/2" by 12" Brit magazine size, 80 full color pages, nice smooth quality magazine paper. Includes extensive interviews and rare never before seen behind the secnes photos. Eastwood, Burton, Mary Ure, and of course the earth moving Ingrid Pitt as Heidi. Includes massive number of photos of various posters, lobby cards, and still promo photos. Movie plot is dissected and followed thru a series of detail articles. Special features on soundtrack music, the German Junkers plane used in the movie, and many more. Fine profiles of all the legendary Brit war movie character actors, Derren Nesbit, Anton Diffring, Patrick Wymark, Michael Hordon, Ferdy Mayne, Donald Houston, many more. Spectacular Alps photos , shots of Mary Ure and Ingrid Pitt together, etc. Stunt doubles coverd in chapter titled "They Who Really Dared" If you know Cinema Retro, you know the quality of this kind of stuff when they cover it, just fantastic!!
