5 Absolutely Stunning Chinese watercolors. 2 Botanicals and with Butterfly and 3 Junk Ships depictions. Some tearing and very light foxing, however, the paintings are near perfect with the most vibrant color. Most likely done for the export market. With the Original Folio .Provenance: The Rutledge-Rose Family of Charlston SC. One of the oldest and most prominent families of the South. Edward Rutledge was the youngest signer of the Declaration of Independence and creator of the Board of War, and John Rutledge as the President of South Carolina, led his state through dark hours of British occupation.
