This is a beautiful, ornate tea pot circa 1850's. I haven't come across many with this solid green glazed body, flow blue details and colorful hand-painted scenes. Unique in every way. It does have some flaws. The tip of the spout was broken off at some time in the past and repaired in the method used at the time (stapled back to the tea pot) and there was a slight sliver-type chip along the top of the pot (likely from the lid banging into it) and a repair was attempted there as well. Please see the pictures for the details of these flaws. I've loved having this wonderful tea pot in my collection but we are downsizing and it needs a new home with someone who will also appreciate it. The tea pot is approximately 8" tall (to the finial on the lid) and 9-3/4" wide (from handle across to the spout) it's a lovely big piece that can't be missed when on display.
