Circa 1906 Roger Bresnahan Original Photographs Lot of 2. We salute you Roger Bresnahan for giving big league catchers a dose of protection. It was Bresnahan who incorporated shin guards into the equation. Taken in 1906 are these two original photos, 4.75x7" on 8x10" mounts. It appears that Bresnahan's jersey reads "World's Champions" as two levels of lettering appear. In '06 the Giants celebrated their World Series title by donning jerseys with such a scheme. The image which shows Bresnahan's catcher's mask by his side has edge chipping. Letter of provenance from the Bresnahan family. Grade: 0, Service: Appraised, Service No.: 2214220
