CIRCA 1938-1946 VINTAGE FIESTA LARGE VENTED TEAPOT IN ORIGINAL IVORY COLOR GLAZE This is a VINTAGE & RARE 1938 through 1946 – DESIGNED BY FREDERICK HURTON RHEAD FOR THE HOMER LAUGHLIN POTTERY COMPANY IN THE MID 1930S Large IVORY Vented Teapot. The large Fiesta teapot was discontinued early, so it is only found in the original 6 colors. The finial is hand applied and sometimes becomes crooked as this one is. The Fiesta hollowware - holloware teapot has the famous large ring handle and is one of the largest pieces of the Fiesta holloware line, plus the top lid vent hole was actually hand drilled. The tea pot measures 9 ¼” x 6 ¾” by 6”. The underside has the earliest in mold mark FIESTA MADE IN U.S.A. and the earliest Homer Laughlin Hallmark logo. On the inside and underside of the lid is the impressed and embedded identification number 2. This number identifies the person who potted the teapot. This is a very nice hard to find – scarce Fiesta Teapot. There are no chips, cracks or repairs. Current Book Value: $300.00 - $400.00. There are minimal usage marks.
