Up for auction is “Polly” a plums and custard 1988 Paris built dolly. We are the second owners from 2004. Now with grown up sons with no interest and space needed “Polly” needs a new family. The first owners bought the car in July 1988 as a pre registered demonstrator model with hatchback conversion. This car comes with a lot of history as shown. The previous owners had the car serviced by a 2Cv specialist. From our ownership, the following work has been carried out with receipts to prove. New galvanised chassis new suspension, hood, tow bar, Boyer Brandson ignition, new bonnet hinge , front seat belts, rear seat belt mounts, ignition coil, fuel pump master brake cylinder. A scissor jack is included that raises the car on the chassis. The body work is honest for the age of the car hence the recent MOT. It has rust in all the usual places and the trim is worn but tidy with a good engine and gearbox everything works. From my experience you can spend up to Ten thousand on a restored one and unless it has had the tub dipped and stripped and all the panels replaced with a full photo record. Or the shiny ones, that will blister through within weeks of ownership. This one is at a starting price of what a non runner would make and a fair reserve. In its current condition it would not look out of place at any 2cv club meeting and you can read more
