Rare Citroen BX Dealer Launch Model. Back in September 1983 the New Citroen BX was presented to the UK dealer network at the NEC. Each dealer attended a presentation, lunch and then drove away in their own Citroen BX 16 TRS demonstrator. In the boot of each car was a plastic model of the Citroen BX manufactured by Vullierme S.A. This is one such model presented in the boot of the BX 16 TRS demonstrator belonging to Ray and Procter Ltd, Citroen dealer in Normacott Road, Stoke on Trent.The model was also available to purchase at the time through the parts department as part no CIT 5038. This model has been out of the box a handful of times but never played with and never displayed, otherwise it has remained in the box since new 30 years ago. How do I know this? This model has been in my possession since I collected the Ray and Procter demonstrator back in September 1983, I can guarantee the authenticity of this model BX. Incidentally it is badged as a BX 14 RE and is 13 1/2 inches long which, I think puts it at around 1/12 scale.The box is showing shelf wear. The car inside is mint, you may notice that the pictures do not show a door mirror and that is because it clips in place and is still taped to the underside.I have no idea what this is worth but is is time for it to go to a good home and would be a unique addition to any collection, read more
