What a Bummer! Civil War Union Kepi or Bummer Cap An excellant reproduction Civil War bummer or kepi in Union blue wool with a leather brim and chin strap. Both are turned out to scarf skin just as they ought to be. The top measures 8 inches tall in the back and 6 inches in the front with a hard top to hold its shape and still leave plenty of room inside to store your 'backy' out of sight of officers. The size is medium to large and measures out to be an easy 7 3/4, not really an issue after one or two champaigns in the hot summer sun...all of em fit after they sweat in some.
