Up for auction is a old Civil War era pair of brass Chevalier Binoculars made in Paris including the leather case. The binoculars are in good condition and the optics are very clear and function very well. The metal around both ends of the glass have very slight dents and the leather on one side has come off but some could be reattached. The case has no markings and is felt lined and is missing the top leather handle. The down strap is broken at the bottom so it does not attach to the finial but the long strap is still intact and can be adjusted by buckles on each side. Overall the binoculars and case are in good condition considering the age and both are very functional. Total lenght of the binoculars are 5" extended and approximately 5" wide. I am not sure if these binoculars go with this case but they came togather. Thanks for looking. Note: The shipping amount is just an estimate and will depend on your location.
