NR- This is a N o R eserve Auction -NR I bought this photo at an estate auction. It included a hand written note dated 1944. According to the note this photo belonged to Mr Patton. He died in 1938 or 39. According to the note Mr Patton gave his estate to Indiana University. The writer of the note was given this photo and others by the man who cared for Mr Patton. This photo was of Mr Patton's father who served in the Civil War. I was not able to locate any farther information, but perhaps it would be possible to farther identify this soldier. The case is 3" tall. It is in fairly good condition, but has begun to crack near the latch. Please judge the photo by the pictures I have taken. If t is damageit will be noted in the item description, or clearly shown in the photos. Time does not always allow for answers to email questions.
