CIVIL WAR DIRK KNIFE, SLATER BROS, EYRE ST., SHEFFIELD, c. 1860âe(tm)S 8 3/4âe DIRK, with 4 3/4âe dagger blade, sharpened on both sides, with median ridge down the center. The blade has some light to medium pitting overall, but appears to be full. Full thin ns guard. One piece round silver handle wider at the pommel, with a floral and other design in high relief. Original sewn maroon leather sheath with German silver throat, missing the button and the small leather belt loop (which is not very noticeable). This is a fine Civil War era knife.
