An original Civil War document dated Newark N.J. July 30 1864. This document says a man named Charles drafted into the military service of the United States from the City of Newark has been held to service and has furnished an acceptable substitute. At the bottom it is signed. The document is in very good condition with some light wear. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Thank you for looking. Please note I list new items every week.
