Includes a single Civil War-era rear admiral's shoulder strap. Paper bag with note indicating that it has "Brass buttons and gold braid from gr uncle J.V. [P.] Turner's midshipman's uniform." Several wide gold braid bands, one with blue wool and star attached. Small box with two large buttons and small gold braids, note with box "Cadet buttons and gold braid from uncle J.V.P. Turner's U.S. Naval academy middy uniform."
