We were privileged to attend a recent estate auction of a prominent Berks County, PA gentleman w we acquired a large amount of ORIGINAL Civil War & G.A.R. items which belonged to this man's Great-Grandfather. Among other battles, this ancestor fought at the Battle of Gettysburg. In this auction we are offering an Original Grand Army of the Republic Souvenir Lapel Badge commemorating the 50th Anniversary Reunion of The Battle of Gettysburg. The pin bar reads SOUVENIR; the badge shows both Confederate & U.S. Flags & depicts a Dove with Olive Branch & reads 50th ANNIVERSARY OF BATTLE OF GETTYSBURG, JULY 1 - 5, 1913. The back of the badge reads THE CHASM-ROBBINS CO., ATTLEBORO, MASS. This reunion was attended by both Union & Confederate veterans with the average age of veterans attending being 72 years old.
