See historical note below. t are 21 scenes on 11 cards (one blank on back) Sample listing of scenes: Gen Lee's Headquarters, Seminary Ridge; Scene of Pickett's charge; Stone Ave, John Burn's statue; Jennie Wade Monument and house w she was killed; Culp's Hill; Round Top; Spangler's Spring; East Confederate Ave and others Size : Standard (Approx 3.5" x 5.5") Condition : Cover- Good ; cards - Very Good . Postally Used (Postmark) : Yes, stamped with 1-cent Franklin Type - Era : View -White Border Era Historical Notes : W.H. Tipton & Co. 1878-1929 Gettysburg, PA William Howard Tipton entered the world of photography by apprenticing to the Tyson Brothers when he was only 12 years old. This studio was purchased by Robert Asbury Myers in 1866 and the two soon became partners opening the Tipton & Myers Excelsior Gallery. In 1873 C.J. Tyson came back into the picture and bought out Myers, but Tipton bought out Tyson by 1878. Tipton set up a new studio under his own name in 1880 from which he produced carte de visite and stereo-views in addition to his large format landscape photos. As postcards
