Just picked from a home yesterday from a long time collection in the Carolina's!One brass button missing , otherwise very nice condition .The name Lester is sewn inside and the makers oval mark with standing soldier I can faintly make out New York , but cannot make out the rest. Some people wrote me and said they thought that this kepi may be GAR ....It did come from a large civil war collection in North Carolina last week . I am not an expert.
