The book has been rebound, with its original covers replaced by a black textured binding which is in Fine condition, with gold lettering embossed on the spine. The volumeâe(tm)s interior is in excellent condition, with its pages clean and complete, and the binding tight. This volume is entirely devoted to reprinting the full text of hundreds of Confederate communications (letters, orders, reports, etc.) from the last year and a half of the Civil War. Naturally, C.S.A. President Jefferson Davis figures most prominently, while Robert E. Lee is also represented frequently in the text.
