I am selling some old gun parts. I don't know much about it because I can't find one exactly like it. I saw another similar on eBay recently but it was in terrible condition. The closest one I have seen was from a Belgian Liege musket. It also had the hammer at the front of the mechanism. It was not exactly like it. The hammer on this one has some sort of tread on the hammer to make easier to pull back the hammer. The hammer is also a different shape. One clue that could help is the it has either a proof or maker mark. It is a B with a crown on top of it inside of a shield. The reason I think that it could be civil war is the patina. You can pull back the hammer and release it but it hurts if your finger is in the way. I have no reserve and only ship to the lower 48. !!!
