New and unworn 100% Jeancloth wool Confederate Kepi. Made by the Quartermaster Shop. Size 7 7/8-Large. Very good quality. Leather brim, band and inner hatband. Block I brass buttons.Unbleached Cotton muslin lining. I bought this for my son, for some reason I thought he had a bigger head than he does. He has another kepi that shrank when it got wet, but it was a different wool. I don't honestly know if this might shrink. This has a leather insert in the back under the hatband to reduce the size. It is not sewn in and can be removed. I can also send more inserts if you wear close to a 7 7/8, or want to make sure it will fit if it does shrink when wet. We haven't done an event yet that we didn't get rained on at some point. The pics make it look like a light brown. It is a true walnut brown with grey heather. I have also added a pic of the forage cap I have listed to show the color difference. This auction is only for the Kepi and does not include the Forage Cap.
