Up for sale is a Civil War Tintype of three brothers or friends in uniform. This is a wonderful piece, and as far as tintypes go, the item for sale is one of the best. Their pants are tinted lightly blue, their faces have a hint of red in their cheeks, and a lovely background of a military camp silhouettes the figures. Foremost amongst the scenery is a tall Union flag, stars and all, with the stripes gently tinted blue and red. A stand to the right reads "U.S." Condition: This is one of the nicest tintypes I have ever come across in terms of condition. There are very few superficial blemishes and the contrast is great. There is a small crease to the right of the soldiers but it is hardly noticeable, especially when the mat is on. Some streaking through the middle and wear on the edges, but these barely are worth mentioning. Beautiful condition. One of the best. Size: Quarter-plate (4.25 H 3.25 W) Good size! Case: Mint condition. Great case. Bright red pad with floral design. Snap type. Gold gild on the inside and outside edges.
