An especially attractive dark blue G. A. R. felt hat all in excellent condition and complete with leather sweat band, die struck brass wreath devise and the neatest hat cord you can imagine. The wreath devise is a bit unusual in that it was made with the Post numeral (5) integral to the GAR nomenclature rather than as an add on as is usually the case. The hat cord is of twisted cotton in red, white and blue with unusually large netted bullion acorns and slide. A really nice turn of the century Civil War veteran item. We are pleased to offer a no questions asked three day inspection with return as purchased on direct sales!
