Up for bids is this 'AMPUTATION SAW' . Nickle plate over steel with probably an ebony or possibly gutta percha handle with extensive cross-hatching design. Maker marked on the top to 'Wade & Ford - N.Y. ' Style, construction and size suggest a civil war vintage although these were produced and used up through the turn of the century. A few dirt or (?) smudges on the handle and a small dent mid-span on the blade but overall condition is very good. No losses of damage to the handle. Exact measurements are in the last photo for those trying to replace a saw in a old surgery set. -- NO RESERVE AUCTION -- -- Buyer pays $5.50 Priority Box shipping -- - Shipping insurance at buyer's request and cost - Thank you ____________________________________________________________________________
