(see images) There is surface noise typical of 78 rpm play with some crackles and popsSPECIAL INFO : The well-known character actor Clarence Muse sings.WOW! I played this treasure and learned that it is a Country/Western style set. Take track #A, "MUSE A WHILE" and it's horses hoof-beats clopping in the background... and then Side #B's "Why Should I?" with its tale of lamenting country-style blues. As typical to an "Ink Spots" recording there is a low-bass voiced soliloquy by Clarence that sorta' ties it all together in each song.(Image not offered for sale with this listing)*BONUS: (I am including a 6-song C-DR which includes the 2 tracks from the above record and 4 RARE Negro Spirituals sung by Clarence Muse---They have been recorded unaltered from the records to Disc--there are 6 TRACKS recorded on a generic recordable CD-R with a simple title written in "permanent marker" {simple paper sleeve included}--) There is a 24 second delay before track 2 beginsNOTE: there is surface noise typical of 78 rpm play with some crackles and pops. Clarence Muse was the guest of Art Linkletter's "House Party." Friday on KECA. Clarence was interviewed on his new picture. "Riding High," (with Bing Crosby) which he will start this coming week at Paramount, and introduced on the airwaves trans-continentally for the first time his new song, "Muse a While," which he composed with Hope Rider and Lida Dolan and recorded for Kangaroo Recording Company for Mercury Distributors release.2- The Perris Museum (Perris, California) held a special exhibit about the life and accomplishments of Clarence Muse, longtime resident of Perris, and his contributions to valley life from his "Muse-a-While Ranch."A program presented by the Inland Empire Buffalo Soldiers Heritage Association.3- The "Muse-A-While" ranch in Perris, California was listed in the "Negro Travelers Green Book" in the 1959 edition. ( These types of travel guides were necessary during the Jim Crow era because African Americans were subject to acts of discrimination and occasional intimidation as many businesses refused to accept them as customers. African American motorists, for example were warned to avoid sundown towns which required minorities to be outside the city limits before sundown, hence the name.
