This is an Art-deco breakfast size cup and sauce from Clarice Cliff's banded design. Dating to the 1930's the cup has a geometric handle and both pieces are free of chips or cracks or repairs. The cup is in excellent condition, with no wear to the paintwork at all. The saucer has no chips or cracks but has some surface scratching and general use wear. The cup is marked with Clarice Cliff facsimile signature in black to the base. The saucer has the Wilkinson Ltd. England mark and impressed 138. These were made as part of a tea set and not every piece would have been marked. The cup measures 6cm high x 12.5cm wide and the saucer measures approx. 17cm diam.
