The forgotten early '70s Ferrari! You've probably seen a lot of Ferrari 312s and 512s over the years. They are iconic Ferrari sports racers from the 1970s. During those years, Ferrari was competing against Porsche and Ford, among others. All three had various versions on the same basic car, some more successful than others. Back then it was not uncommon for these manufacturers to produce cars specifically for the 24 Hours of LeMans. Porsche had their 917 LH, Ford had their Mark IV and Ferrari had the often over-looked 512S CL, which stood for Coda Lunga. While sorting through my collection of lexan bodies, I happened to re-discover this Rothwell .010 lexan of the Ferrari 512S CL. Not sure if it is even still available from Rothwell and it was my one and only sample, but I thought, what the heck, I'm going to paint and detail this baby up! Of course, it had to be Ferrari red. It's fully detailed and even features tinted windows. A neat little experiment that turned out pretty cool. This unique classic is ready to race on your BSRT G3, G3R or G-Jet short wheelbase chassis with standard body tubes. As always, the body is fully-trimmed and pinned using brass pins painted to match the body color and reinforced on the inside of the body with lightweight, super strong parachute tape.
