RCA AM Bakelite Tube radioModel X-552 From 1950If your collection is lacking a great example of a post-war RCA AM radio, now is your chance. Since it is fully restored you will want to listen to it every day!This radio plays the AM broadcast band with that warm, soft "tube sound". It easily picks up stations up and down the dial.Cabinet - The dark mahogany colored Bakelite case has been cleaned and polished with my 4 step process. The solid shiny case has no chips or cracks. The top and bottom bars and the round feet are solid brass and have been removed, polished and reassembled. On the right side is a phono input socket that will work with your mpeg player or smart phone . Above the tuning dial is a red pilot light that shines when the radio is turned on. Knobs - Original.Back - OriginalAntenna - Original loop mounted to back.Chassis - Cleaned and rust free. All paper and electrolytic capacitors replaced. All resistors over 20% of their original value replaced. All 5 tubes tested and replaced as necessary. Controls lubed.
