This auction is for a clear glass water / iced tea pitcher. It does have some age - t are small bubbles in the glass and the bottom has some smooth wear. I purchased it from a man in his 50's who was closing his grandmother's estate. That is all I know. T is no maker's mark to speak of. I researched it on Ebay and the pattern is idential to those listed as Imperial Carnival Glass Tiger Lily Pattern. However, t is no color whatsoever to this piece. It is clear. 7 inches at the lowest point of the top rim, 8 1/4 inches at the highest point of the spout. About 5 1/2 inches across the center (not including handle and spout). The detail on it is very ornate and definetly tiger lily. The top edge has a jagged look - serrated kind of - zig zag - the spout is smooth. The handle looks kind of braided or plaited - but is is also smooth. Inside of the urn is completely smooth. It has seams that are evident on the bottom - so pressed glass. Very heavy feel. Tried to show the pattern on the bottom which is a starburst with more of a thistle type flower - those flowers are also in the design on the sides of the pitcher. No chips, cracks or repairs. I am going to start this bid very low - because I have no identification for it. Any help would be appreciated. This would make a beautiful serving piece and it is very functional.
