RUSSIAN PHENAKITE / PHENACITE DESCRIPTION A very rare and gorgeous Phenakite (Phenacite) specimen from Russia . This is a beautiful clear colored specimen with little bit of Chlorite matrix (about 3% of specimen). This specimen is unique for its large size, which can be VERY powerful for metaphysicists, as well as it has a little bit of a peachy shade on one half of the specimen, which is known to double the value of phenakites. It has some clear spots, which can be used for facetting, howeve its probably better left as is. It has several rainbows inside of it, and is very powerful for metaphysical purposes. It is a beautiful specimen for collectors, metaphysicists, and anyone in search for a Phenakite. Its weight is 275 carats, or 55 grams. Location: Russia , Ural Mts. Takovaya stream Dimensions: 2.0 inches (5.0 cm) by 1.3 inches (3.3 cm) by 1.2 inches (3.0 cm) GENERAL PHENAKITE/PHENACITE INFORMATION Its formula is Beryllium Silicate - Be 2(SiO 4), coming from a mine which also produced world class Emeralds and Alexandrites (mine has not been open on a consistent basis since mid 1990's). Currently the mine does not produce any Phenakites, and all the Russian specimens are from older collections. It is a powerful stone for clearing and activating the Chakras, in particular, the Third (3rd) Eye and Crown Chakras. it is also able to activate the lightbody. It helps one to go further in Meditation, and gives a deep awareness of one's inner structures, the Chakras in particular.
