RUSSIAN PHENAKITE / PHENACITE DESCRIPTION A very rare and gorgeous Phenakite (Phenacite) crystal from Russia . This is a beautiful CLEAR colored crystal with some Mica matrix (making up less than 10% of the specimen). The crystal is in great condition, and is actually a combination of two Phenakite crystals grown into one another.One of the crystals is clear enough in a couple sections to be cut, however it will make better use for a collector or a metaphysical purpose. It has several rainbows inside of it, and overall is a very beautiful crystal. Its weight is 70 carats, or 14.0 grams. Location: Russia , Ural Mts. Takovaya stream Dimensions: Length: 1.0 inches (25mm), Width: 0.8 inches (21mm), Height: 0.7 inches (18mm) GENERAL PHENAKITE/PHENACITE INFORMATION Its formula is Beryllium Silicate - Be 2(SiO 4), coming from a mine which also produced world class Emeralds and Alexandrites (mine has not been open on a consistent basis since mid 1990's). Currently the mine does not produce any Phenakites, and all the Russian specimens are from older collections. It is a powerful stone for clearing and activating the Chakras, in particular, the Third (3rd) Eye and Crown Chakras. it is also able to activate the lightbody. It helps one to go further in Meditation, and gives a deep awareness of one's inner structures, the Chakras in particular. Phenakite In general can be used to amplify the energies of Other stones used for healing, and to balance energy within one.
