MARVELOUS EXAMPLE of a RARE Iowa medicine, complete with label, box and contents. The bottle is 5" tall, clear, and embossed on the sides PROF. DEAN'S / KING CACTUS OIL and has a mint label on the front but the label on the back is missing. The front label says PROF. DEAN'S / KING CACTUS OIL / COMPANY / HEALING OIL LINIMENT / (directions) / MANUFACTURED BY / PROF. DEANS / KING CACTUS OIL / COMPANY / CLINTON, IOWA No w on the bottle or box does it allude to Olney & McDaid, the druggists the developed and sold this beginning in the 1881 so this company must have been bought out or spun of the original but they are using the trademark of the refilling can and stand with a picture of King Cactus on it and all the original claims of healing Barb wire cuts, harness sores, sore teats sore shoulders mange and scratches for man and beast. The price was $.15. Tne bottle is mint except for a tiny flake on the front of the lip and the box has the original cardboard liner the gives it more stregth than most and would rate and 8.5 - 9 out of 10 for condition, especially for this age piece. The bright red liniment is still tightly sealed with the original cork. Please e-mail any questions. Buyer pays $5.50 shipping and insurance is extra. Checks require 10 days to clear.
